Internal Jacks: Sound Blaster X-Fi Getting Started

NOTE: The Line Out 1, Line Out 2 and Line Out 3 jacks can be used simultaneously to drive 8-speaker (7.1), 7-speaker (6.1), 6-speaker (5.1) or 4/4.1 speaker systems.

Your sound card has these jacks and connectors to enable the attachment of a wide variety of devices:

Number	Description
1	Creative Proprietary connector Provides a proprietary connection for Creative devices. Do not utilize this connector unless instructed to do so.
2	Line Out 3 jack (LIN_OUT3) Connects to Front Center, Subwoofer, and Side Left (only on 7.1 systems) or Rear Center (only on 6.1 systems) inputs on powered analog speakers or an external amplifier.
3	Line Out 2 jack (LIN_OUT2) Connects to Rear Left, Rear Right, and Side Right (only on 7.1 systems) inputs on powered analog speakers or an external amplifier.
4	Line Out 1 jack (LIN_OUT1) Connects to Front Left and Front Right inputs on powered analog speakers or an external amplifier. Also connects to headphones.
5	FlexiJack Performs a 3-in-1 function, supporting Microphone-in, Line-in and Digital I/O connections. Connects to one of the following: - analog devices like cassette players and other line-level sources - an external microphone for voice input - external digital audio devices that accept stereo PCM Bitstream from the S/PDIF output
6	Creative Proprietary connector Provides a proprietary connection for Creative devices. Do not utilize this connector unless instructed to do so.
7	Aux In connector (AUX_IN) Connects to the analog output from a TV Tuner using an Analog CD cable.
8	Power connector Connects to your computer's power supply.
9	Creative Proprietary connector Provides a proprietary connection for Creative devices. Do not utilize this connector unless instructed to do so.
