Basic Adjustments Menu: Dell D1025HE Color Monitor

The Basic Adjustments menu provides the following options:
- Contrast
- Brightness
- Width
- Horizontal Centering
- Height
- Vertical Centering
- Degaussing
- Create Default Item
- Exit to Main Menu
The Create Default Item menu enables you to specify default settings for the following:
- Contrast
- Brightness
- Color
The Brightness adjustment enables you to control the brightness of the entire screen image. Contrast increases or decreases
the brightness difference between the light and dark colors. Adjust the brightness and contrast according to ambient light
conditions to obtain the best picture quality.
The following position and size adjustments are displayed on the monitor.

External magnetic fields may cause distortion or discoloration in the picture. This condition can be corrected by degaussing
the monitor. Degaussing occurs automatically each time the monitor is switched on, but degaussing can also be performed by
selecting Degaussing from the Basic Adjustments menu.
During the degaussing process the picture is distorted for a few seconds. If the distortion was caused by stray magnetic fields,
the picture clarity is restored when the process finishes.
 | NOTE: The effectiveness of degaussing decreases if it is repeated at intervals shorter than 15 minutes.

Any menu selection is recallable within 20 seconds after the menu disappears. To adjust a setting, press the left- or
right-arrow button.
After 20 seconds, the left- or right-arrow button recalls the default adjustment or setting to the screen.
To define the default setting, select Create Default Item from the Basic Adjustments menu using the up- or down-arrow. Then
open the corresponding submenu with the right-arrow button. The current default item is indicated with a plus sign (+) at the
right edge of the menu. Use the up- or down-arrow button to select the item you want to define as the default and activate it
by pressing the right-arrow button.
Your default selection is available 20 seconds after the menu disappears.
To return to the Main Menu, select Exit to Main Menu and press the right-arrow button.
