Overview

Front Panel

Use the control buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust the characteristics of the image being displayed. As you use these buttons to adjust the controls, an on-screen display (OSD) shows their numeric values as they change.

Front controls

 

1. PowerPower Button - Use this button to turn the monitor ON and OFF.

2. Power Indicator - This light glows green during normal operation.

3.Menu MENU - Use this button to open the On-Screen-Display (OSD) and activate a function on the Screen Display (OSD).

4.Plus (down direction in menu and/or increase specified function)

a. Use this button to choose an item in the On-Screen-Display, then press Menu.

b. Use this button to adjust items in the On-Screen-Display (OSD).

5.Minus (up direction in menu and/or decrease specified function)

a. Use this button to choose an item in the On-Screen-Display, then press Menu.

b. Use this button to adjust items in the On-Screen-Display (OSD).

6. BrightnessBrightness - Use this button to access the brightness control.

7. ContrastContrast - Use this button to access the contrast control.


Rear Panel

 

1. Power Port - Connect the power cable here.

2. Signal Cable - Connect this cable to the blue video connector on your computer.

SIZE & POSITION

Adjustments of zoom, horizontal position, horizontal size, vertical position, vertical size:

Main Menu

  • Press Menu, to access OSD menu.
  • By default, the select bar will be on "Size & Position".
  • Press Menu, to access the "Size & Position" 2nd level menu. Use Plus/Minus to select the function you want to adjust.

 

2nd Level Menu

Zoom

 

  • Press Menu, then use Plus/Minus button to adjust.
  • Press Menu, to save adjusted value and return to 2nd level menu.
  • Press Menu or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • Press Menu again to exit OSD or Plus/Minus to select other functions.

 

3rd level menu

  • Press Menu, to access OSD menu.
  • UsePlus/Minus button to move the bar to "GEOMETRY".
  • Press Menu to access the "GEOMETRY" 2nd level menu. UsePlus/Minus button to select the function you want to adjust.
  • Press Menu, then use Plus/Minus button to adjust.

 

2nd Level Menu

Rotation

 

  • Press Menu, to save adjusted value and return to 2nd level menu.
  • PressMenu or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • Press Menu again to exit OSD or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • The adjusted parameters are automatically saved and the OSD menu will disappear if no button is pressed within the time you selected on OSD TIMER (e.g. 10 seconds).

COLOR TEMPERATURE

  • Press Menu, to access OSD menu.
  • UsePlus/Minus button to move the bar to "COLOR TEMPERATURE".
  • Press Menu to access the "COLOR TEMPERATURE" 2nd level menu. UsePlus/Minus button to select the different colors. The screen color will change with the selection..
  • Press Menu, to enter your chosen selection.

 

2nd Level Menu

  • Press , to save adjusted value and return to 2nd level menu.
  • Press orPlus/Minus to select other functions.
  • Press again to exit OSD or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • The adjusted parameters are automatically saved and the OSD menu will disappear if no button is pressed within 10 seconds.

 

3rd Level Menu

USER 1

User 1

 

  • Use Plus/Minus button to choose user 1 or user 2, then press to activate select 3rd level. UsePlus/Minus button to choose the color you want to align.
  • Press Menu and use Plus/Minus button to choose "SAVE & EXIT TO MAIN MENU" or "RECALL".

USER 2

User 2

 

  • Use Plus/Minus button to the function you need, then press to activate the item you selected and use Plus/Minus button to adjust it.
  • Press Menu and use Plus/Minus button to choose "SAVE & EXIT TO MAIN MENU" or "RECALL".

 


ADVANCED CONTROLS

  • Press , to access OSD menu.
  • Use Plus/Minus button to move the bar to "ADVANCED CONTROLS".
  • Press to access the "ADVANCED CONTROLS" 2nd level menu. UsePlus/Minus button to select the function you want to adjust.

 

2nd Level Menu

Power saving

 

  • Press Menu, then usePlus/Minus button to adjust or enter 3rd level menu.
  • Press Menu, to save adjusted value and return to 2nd level menu.
  • Press Menu or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • Press Menu again to exit OSD or Plus/Minus to select other functions.
  • The adjusted parameters are automatically saved and the OSD menu will disappear if no button is pressed within the time you selected on OSD TIMER (e.g. 10 seconds).

 

3rd Level Menu

  • In "POWER SAVING ON" condition, the monitor will automatically reduce its power when not in use. When input from keyboard or mouse is detected, the monitor will automatically "wake up".

  • Press Menu to change to "POWER SAVING OFF".

The monitor will not switch itself into power saving states.

By adjusting H/V moir�, one can reduce or eliminate wavy or elliptical patterns that may occur at certain resolutions/applications.

  • UsePlus/Minus button to choose "H" or "V".
  • Press Menu then usePlus/Minus button to adjust.
  • Press Menu to choose "SAVE & EXIT TO MAIN MENU" or "RECALL".

Note: Too large values for H/V moir� will make the screen appear fuzzy.


MONITOR STATUS

  • UsePlus/Minus button to move the bar to "MONITOR STATUS".
  • PressMenu to access the 2nd level menu.

  • The monitor will display the current video mode resolution/frequency and the monitor serial number.

  • In case of new mode, only frequency will show.

 


DEGAUSS

  • Degauss will temporarily distort the screen.
  • Degaussing should be activated after you have changed the orientation of your monitor.

  • Press Menu to EXIT main menu.

 

RESET

2nd Level Menu

  • Use Plus/Minus button to move the bar to "RESET".
  • Press Menu to access the RESET menu.
  • Use Plus/Minus to select NO or YES. "NO" will show the screen with current settings, "YES" will show the screen with factory default settings.
  • Press Menu to save your choice and exit main menu.

 

"Reset" will :

  • Recall factory preset values for current video mode.
  • Recall default values for contrast and brightness.
  • Set color temperature at default 9300�K.
  • Set language at English.

 

What if you get lost in OSD tree structure?

Pressing Menu several times will bring you back at main menu "EXIT OSD". You may then usePlus/Minus to select other functions, or press Menu again to exit OSD.


Automatic Save

Whenever you open the OSD and allow an adjustment window to remain on screen without pressing any button within the time you selected on OSD timer (e.g. 10 seconds), the OSD menu will disappear, and the monitor will automatically save any adjustments you have made. These changes are saved into a user area in the monitor. User areas are reserved according to the signal frequency of your computer. The monitor can save adjustments for up to eight user modes. It has ten preset modes, one for each signal frequency, as listed in Preset Display Modes.

If you have made no adjustments, the on-screen menu disappears and the monitor does not save anything.

To exit without saving the changes you have made, select the "RECALL" menu item and press Menu.


OSD Warning Messages

Warning messages indicating that the monitor is out of sync may appear on the screen. Sometimes, no warning message appears but the screen is blank, which could also indicate that the monitor is out of sync.
