Dell OpenManage™ Client Connector Version 2.1
User's Guide
Before installing Dell OpenManage™ Client Connector (OMCC), check the Dell Support website at support.dell.com for the most current supported operating systems and hardware requirements. Additionally, ensure that the following conditions exist:
You have administrator rights on the target system.
For IT Assistant and OMCC to function properly, your network supports TCP/IP.
Installation Procedure
To install OMCC, perform the following steps:
Download the installation file from the Dell Support website at support.dell.com.
Open My Computer or Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory where you downloaded the
installation file, and double-click the file.
The InstallShield Wizard window displays the Welcome screen.
Click Next.
The InstallShield Wizard window displays the Dell Software License Agreement screen.
If you agree with the Dell Inc. software license agreement, click Next.
The InstallShield Wizard window displays the Setup Type screen.
Choose the installation type by selecting one of the following options:
Complete — Installs all OMCC modules to the default directory:
Program Files\Dell\OpenManage\Connector.
Custom — Enables you to select a destination directory in which you want to install OMCC.
Click Next.
The InstallShield Wizard window displays the Ready to Install the Program screen.
Click Install to begin the installation.
The InstallShield Wizard window displays the Installing Dell OpenManage Client Connector screen. A progress bar indicates the status of the installation. When installation is complete, the InstallShield Wizard Completed window appears.
