Modifying, Repairing, or Uninstalling OMCC

Dell OpenManage™ Client Connector Version 2.1 User's Guide


You can modify, repair, or remove Dell OpenManage™ Client Connector (OMCC) using the installation file. You can also remove OMCC using the Add or Remove Programs icon on the Control Panel.

To modify, repair, or remove OMCC using the installation file, perform the following steps:

  1. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory to which you downloaded the installation file, and double-click the file.

The InstallShield Wizard window starts, and the Welcome screen appears.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Select the appropriate operation:

    • Modify — Adds or removes selected components. Select the components you want to add or remove from the installation.

    • Repair — Checks previously-installed components. If a damaged component is detected, the program reinstalls the component. If a required registry entry has been deleted, the program recreates the registry entry.

    • Remove — Uninstalls OMCC.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Click Install to modify or repair OMCC, or click Remove to remove OMCC.

  5. Click Finish.

To uninstall OMCC using the Add or Remove Programs icon on the Control Panel:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and double-click Control Panel.

  2. Double-click or select Add or Remove Programs.

  3. Select Dell OpenManage Client Connector from the list of currently installed programs and click Remove.

  4. When the uninstallation is complete, click Finish.

  5. Reboot your system.
