Removing the Speaker Assembly

CAUTION: Before you begin the following procedure, follow the safety instructions that shipped with your computer.

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
   
   
2. Remove the palm rest (see Removing the Palm Rest).
   
   
3. Remove the four screws (two on each side) on the speakers.
   
   
4. Release the speaker cable from the securing tabs on the palm rest and take out the speaker assembly.
   

   
   
   

Replacing the Speaker Assembly

CAUTION: Before you begin the following procedure, follow the safety instructions that shipped with your computer.

1. Replace and tighten the four screws securing the speaker assembly to the palm rest.
   
   
2. Route the speaker cables carefully through the securing tabs on the palm rest.
   
   
3. Replace the palm rest (see Replacing the Palm Rest).
