Replacing the CRT Board

Dell™ Inspiron™ 1210 Service Manual

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).
  1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

  2. Remove the palm rest. See Replacing the Palm Rest.

CRT board

M2.5x3-mm screw

  1. Remove the M2.5x3-mm screw that secure the CRT board to the base of the computer.

  2. Lift the CRT board up and out from the base of the computer.

  3. To replace the CRT board, align the holes on the CRT board to the protrusions on the base of the computer.

  4. Replace the CRT M2.5x3-mm screw to secure the CRT board to the base of the computer.

  5. Replace the palm rest. See Replacing the Palm Rest.

  6. Slide the battery into the battery bay, until it clicks in place and slide the battery-lock latch towards the lock position.
