CAUTION: Before performing the following procedures, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching a connector on the back panel of the computer.

1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
   
   
2. Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.
   
   
3. Remove the palm rest (see Palm Rest).
   
   
4. Remove the three screws that secure the 8-in-1 memory card reader to the computer base.

5. Disconnect the system board connector by lifting up the memory card reader.
